Programme Notes
The words are by a clergy colleague, The Rev Colin Coppen, and he had in fact composed his own hymn tune for these lyrics. I asked if I could also write a tune to his text and turn it into a piece for the New London Children's Choir to sing. He agreed and the first performance took place in the summer of 2005 at the choir's summer school.

This lyrical setting of a text by Colin Coppen has an elegant melody and flowing piano accompaniment. It would make a charming addition to any concert or service, and is also available in a version for mixed voices.
