Books and Editions
The Choral Singer's Companion crystallises Ron's experience and expertise in choral singing. The Folksongs books are fun introductions to music of different cultures. The two volumes of Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Choruses each contain six favourite choruses arranged for choir, while his editions of Partsongs comprise volumes devoted to Parry, Stanford and the Edwardian era (including Gustav Holst).

New London Orchestra
As Artistic Director of the New London Orchestra, Ronald Corp has always been passionate about education. In founding the Orchestra in 1988 he made it his mission to programme and promote late 19th and 20th-century music which is rarely heard in concert, and to present the concerts from the stage in such a way as to engage new audiences. The Orchestra's education programme promotes music-making in schools and offers a range of new opportunities to children from all backgrounds to participate. Other special projects by the Orchestra – such as the 'Music and the Mind' festival of 2003 – have sought to bring together the worlds of science and music in innovative new collaborations.
New London Children’s Choir
Ronald Corp has worked with children’s choirs for over 25 years, particularly with the NLCC which he founded in 1991 with the aim of introducing children to the challenges and fun of singing and performing of all types of music.
British Light Music Classics
In true pioneering spirit, his four volumes of recordings for Hyperion of British Light Music Classics have revitalised interest in this repertoire that remained unplayed, unrecorded and unregarded for decades – even if some of the tunes are firmly lodged in the public consciousness. For example, Volume 1 includes 'Barwick Green', the fourth movement of Arthur Wood's suite, My Native Heath, which has been the signature tune to BBC Radio 4's The Archers since its inception in 1951! A boxed set of the four volumes is available, too.
Martinů
Ronald Corp was largely responsible for generating interest in the music of Martinů by programming it in every New London Orchestra concert from 1988 to 1990 (his centenary). Regarding the symphonies, BBC Radio 3's Rob Cowan praises Martinů's 'mastery of form, his distinctive sound world, his longing for home, his qualified optimism and the sincerity of his message' (CD Review, 13 August, 2011). Now that Martinů is a popular and widely-performed composer, Ron has turned his attention to other neglected figures such as Polish composer, Grażyna Bacewicz, a CD of whose music the New London Orchestra released on Hyperion in 2009. In 2010, he recorded two discs of the music of John Foulds, contributing to the re-establishment of this important voice in British music of the early 20th century.
Workshops
In addition to his involvement in workshops as part of the New London Orchestra's education and community programme, he also delivers many choral workshops in schools and with adult choirs and community groups, inspiring people and bringing them together through music.
Musicians Benevolent Fund
Ronald Corp is a Trustee and Chair of the Fund which makes grants each year to young talented instrumentalists and singers.
