Ronald Corp is Founder and Artistic Director of the New London Orchestra which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2008. He is also Musical Director of the New London Children’s Choir, the London Chorus and the Highgate Choral Society.
He works regularly with the BBC Singers and has conducted various orchestras including the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the RTE Orchestra, the Ulster Orchestra, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the Leipzig Philharmonic Orchestra. He has recorded extensively for Hyperion, including award winning discs of British Light Music Classics as well as discs devoted to the music of Prokofiev, Satie and Poulenc amongst others.
His list of compositions is extensive and includes choral, instrumental and orchestral works. Recent performances include the premiere of the String Quartet No.1 "The Bustard" by the Maggini Quartet at the Wigmore Hall, and Waters of Time premiered in Bristol’s Colston Hall.
Many of Corp’s choral works are now on CD including the Christmas Mass (“Hark! Chantage at Christmas” on EMI); Flower Songs and other children’s Choir works (NLCC on Naxos), and a selection of choral music, Forever Child (Voces Cantabiles on Dutton), released to great critical acclaim in 2006. His handbook ‘The Choral Singer’s Companion’ was also published in its third edition.
